How do you play today to gain and retain?

 

Everyone is desperate to be on the pinnacle, and nowadays, what the new benchmark is in process is to get to the top, obtaining all the attention from all the opposite corners, projecting themselves as the epicenter for all activities with a fictitious image of a superhuman being. Why do we tend to live a double-faced life, projecting ourselves on one hand as a really dedicated, honest individual full of patriotic devotions, while on the other hand, we carry on exploiting the situational gaps to our advantage with our planned ways and deceit, as a number of us are firm believers of 'Make Hay While The Sun is Shining' Everyone is hell-bent on projecting himself in the form of the ideal choice for unmatched quality and productivity compared to their contemporaries. This is a new high-tech game. The person who plays his cards well against his opponent will be the winner.

There is little doubt that the current scenario is fast changing, and that we will need to dance to the changing scenario at an awfully fast pace to take care of all our steady progress. Otherwise, we may be left behind in this competitive race of modern times. Once we lose an opportunity, we are deprived of gaining timely profitability as others are ready to cash in on the equivalent possibility. The game is gradually shifting away from poor planners and toward strategically advanced, high-tech minds that calculate all progressive moves with laser-guided precision for smooth practicality.

Who can still exist now? only those who believe in the survival of the fittest policy in every field, from the public to the non-public sector, but at what cost? The growing day-by-day, cutthroat rivalry between man and man engaging in unethical competition leads to a fierce dual influenced by unfulfilled desires to gain supremacy and an undue advantage over others in every field, ranging from business interests, personal rivalry, and workplace politics. Some people want to be in the spotlight all the time, even if it means demotivating others and spreading negative remarks to limit their chances of advancement. Now the trend is that everybody wants the hot seat only to dictate the terms, not realizing their worthiness for the terribly desired level they dream of in their imagination. This is often not the correct approach, but who is caring for that? All of us want fame, name, and status at any cost.

This situation is creating an atmosphere of intrigue. Everywhere and each day, we find individuals busy in the formation of the latest strategies executed for the manipulation of terms to gain an advantage over the opponent through any means. The emerging scene will end in enmity involving others, aggravating the conflict already going on between the two. Only better handling and timely assessment of the sensitive state of affairs can calm the tense situation from developing into a major career crisis.

It is human nature to instigate each other to dictate the terms and be in the driving seat. Personal egos have become the bone of contention, and therefore, the developing urge inside us forces everyone to point out only superiority, resulting in misunderstandings between man and man. Is there any appropriate aspect that comes from this contention? Who is going to win? There appears to be no answer, only that we become the laughing stock for others to enjoy the unpleasant scenes being created either in offices or in public places for an unwanted issue.

It is better to prevent this bad apposition between man and man and emphasise the rivalry's complete progress by assisting one another in times of disaster and taking a pledge to not make a mockery of each other.
