Local sourcing of components by Indian automobile companies  to offset any future disruption in their supply chain  is welcome step keeping in mind the prospects of  new employment opportunities, vendor development leading to an atmosphere of economic growth .What Covid -19 has taught us to cut our dependence on china for outsourcing and the proverb necessity is the mother of all inventions justify the fact.

 Just by producing PPE kits we cannot  call ourselves self reliant though, its a welcome step in right direction.Govt is emphasizing  for converting  country into  automobile manufacturing hub will usher in new technology to produce world class products matching international quality standard norms thereby creating more favorable  worldwide business generating  much- needed foreign currency,initially localized manufacturing cost will be on higher side which can be  compensated by government in shape of some incentives and future will be in safer hands.

We have immense technical talent in form of young generation ready to set new milestone for making India Shining.Corrective but effective planning process on part of  policy makers can make India establish itself the self reliant country as this the right time  to take a decision with determination otherwise, we will remain dependent on outsourcing.
